Our Story

Black Forest Home Improvements was originally started in 2007 as a one man handyman business. After spending 16 years in the dry cleaning business and then selling that business in 2007. I began learning carpentry at a young age from my Father and realized how much I enjoy designing, building and creating something out of nothing. My wife and I finally decided to start Black Forest Home Improvements and while we did start small, we quickly grew to a trusted name in the Lehigh Valley, completing large home remodeling jobs year round.

What sets our teams apart is our consistent communication. Each project has a team lead who’s responsible for reporting at the end of each day what occurred on their job, what
is coming up next, and what if anything needs to be done differently. Our team leads are experienced, highly skilled and drive the project from start to finish.

Nothing is ever perfect. When an issue may arise on a job, we handle it right away. That issue receives top priority before anything else. When an unexpected issue arises, we stop where we are and advise the client openly and honestly. If a change in plans is necessary, we come to an agreement on next steps and initiate a change order so everyone is advised and comfortable with the new plan.

We are always learning, growing and implementing the latest techniques and materials to achieve the best outcome. We have regular team member meetings where we discuss what is new in the industry and how we can utilize that in our client projects.
